Day: 1 Ljubljana

Tucked between Italy, Austria and Croatia, Slovenia may be small and relatively undiscovered, but it delivers pristine alpine villages, cliffside castles, emerald lakes and a stunning coastline. On arrival, transfer to your wonderful hotel and enjoy the rest of the day to explore the pedestrian friendly historic centre with cafés lining the banks of the Ljubljana River, beautiful Plečnik designed buildings, museums and a vibrant atmosphere.

Day: 3 Ljubljana – Ptuj – Maribor – Ljubljana

Enjoy a full day excursion to the Slovenian countryside including the Štajerska wine region. Start with a brief visit to Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, famed for its annual pagan Korant Carnival. Day: 5 Lake Bled – Triglav National Park – Kranjska Gora – Lake Bled

Today, discover more of Slovenia’s stunning natural beauty. Enjoy a guided visit to the Triglav National Park and the 1600 metre Vintgar Gorge which features sheer canyon walls between 50 and 100 metres in height. Also visit the picturesque Šum Waterfall, the largest river waterfall in Slovenia. Day: 6 Lake Bled – Predjama Castle – Postojna Caves – Portorož

Depart Lake Bled for a visit of Predjama Castle, built within a cave mouth to make access difficult. The structure dates to the 13th century and features a hidden passageway. Continue to Postojna Caves, Queen of the underground world. Experience a fascinating subterranean paradise shaped by tiny water droplets over millions of years.
