A Review of London’s Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt

Review of London’s Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt – My first time in London and I wanted to make sure I was in a good location that allowed me to get around to the local sites, or further by tube if need be. The Vanderbilt was perfect! So close to the Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, and other museums, and only a 2 minute walk to the nearest tube station at Gloucester Road.

As a bit of a history buff I enjoyed the architecture and history of the building. The winding hallways and maze of stairs are fun to explore and really bring your imagination to life as to how the building could have been. The architecture looks to have been a series of row houses that have been combined into one hotel. Cosy rooms, with everything that you need, including a comfortable bed and pillows. The small touches are what really made the Vanderbilt standout; dressing gown and slippers, all the bath gels one would need, and even an umbrella incase of the weather, very smart. Read more about the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt here.

Breakfast at the Scoff & Banter restaurant was a treat each day, and we ate one dinner there too, which was delightful also. I also tried the room service one morning, which was just as good. The breakfast menu selection is one of the best with such a large selection (it was almost too difficult to choose).

Each day I was greeted by the members of staff who seemed genuinely happy to see you – their friendly and caring nature came naturally and wasn’t ‘just for show’. Even though it was quite busy during my stay, I never felt that I was looked over or forgotten. The staff really made my time at the Vanderbilt one of genuine pleasure.
