The Hotel’s Conception

More than a century ago, an idealistic and romantic man fell in love with the fascinating city of Granada and decided to build The Hotel Casino Alhambra Palace. This man was the Duke of San Pedro de Galatino. Said to be a visionary, the Duke foresaw the importance of tourism on the area. Since its conception in 1910, the hotel continues to be a symbol of intrigue, luxury and elegance.

Unique Style & Tradition

The design of the Hotel Alhambra Palace was inspired by the beautiful Nasrid palace, demonstrating the peak of Muslim art in Europe.
The Hotel’s interior shows great attention to detail. The neo-Moorish style flourishes with splashes of mirrors, mosaics, muqarnas and arches. Decoration and light flood the space creating a delicate perception of shapes and essence.

Through the Ages

When the Duke passed away he left the hotel to the Duchess, Mrs. Fernanda De Salabert Y Arteaga. As war broke out the Duchess donated the premises and it became a field hospital for three years. In order to save the building from aerial bombing attacks, several red crosses were painting on the roofing.

Hospitality at the highest level

In the 80’s, the heirs of the Duke of San Pedro de Galatino took over the management of the hotel. Today, the Hotel Alhambra Palace is the pinnacle for luxury tourism on an international level. Since it’s reopening, many aristocrats, royalty and artists from all over the world continue to visit.
