Staying in Valletta
Domus Zamittello (4 Star)
This is one of our favourite hotels. It boasts an awesome location in the heart of Valletta old city. The hotel is a boutique style with only 21 classic rooms and 6 suites. The rooftop terrace overlooks Republic Street where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Gateway to Valletta and Freedom Square.
PERFECT FOR: All traveller types and singles – each room has a different layout to suit your needs.
Palazzo Consiglia (4 Star)
Another favourite hotel and one which we recommend on our Malta 7-day itinerary. Located on a quiet street just steps away from St Rocco’s church and the waterfront. More modern designs with original touches across 13 rooms. It also boasts a rooftop pool.
PERFECT FOR: Couples – Consiglia is the name given to an abstract woman that embodies our daily lives.
Hotel Phoenicia (5 Star)
A larger style hotel with sophisticated rooms designed in collaboration with Peter Young Design. Perfectly located near the waterfront and the National Museum of Archeology. Rooms also boast astonishing views of the island’s historic buildings and the Grand Harbour.
PERFECT FOR: Families – with interconnecting rooms, and an outdoor pool.
Staying in St Julian’s
Hotel Juliani (4 Star)
Our top pick in St Julian’s is Hotel Juliani. Located across from Spinola Bay offering a breath of fresh air due to its Mediterranean design. This small boutique hotel was renovated just prior to Covid, is reasonably priced (even their sea view rooms!) and boasts a rooftop pool and terrace. reasonably priced sea view rooms suite (couples and singles)
PERFECT FOR: Both couples and singles looking for a relaxing coastal vacation.
Westin Dragonara (5 Star)
If you prefer a larger style hotel with all the 5-star facilities, then this hotel is for you! An awesome bar area, great ambiance, and a great location in downtown St Julian’s. It’s both reasonably priced and has a pool.
PERFECT FOR: Great for families with all the amenities you require as well as the option of interconnecting rooms.
Staying in Senglea
Cugo Gran Macina Grand Harbour (5 Star)
Located just a stone’s throw from Valletta down on the harbour. This small boutique hotel was once a 16th Century fortress. Now renovated into a modern hotel with historical charm with just 21 suites. Reasonably priced with a rooftop pool.
PERFECT FOR: Couples who want a few nights stay somewhere a little bit different.
