My first time in London and I wanted to make sure I was in a good location that allowed me to get around to the local sites, or further by tube if need be. The Vanderbilt was perfect! So close to the Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, and other museums, and only a 2 minute walk to the nearest tube station at Gloucester Road.
As a bit of a history buff I enjoyed the architecture and history of the building. The winding hallways and maze of stairs are fun to explore and really bring your imagination to life as to how the building could have been. The architecture looks to have been a series of row houses that have been combined into one hotel.
