While the Dolomite Mountains are spectacular any time of year, Winter is perhaps the most magical.  Our 7 day regional discovery allows you to explore the area through a range of outdoor snow activities, including snowshoeing, sledding and hiking, and guided tours, against one of the most breathtaking backdrops on earth.

Day: 1 Venice - Cortina D'Ampezzo

On arrival in Venice, transfer to your spectacular hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo for your upcoming exploration of the Dolomites. The Dolomites are listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage property for its exceptional natural beauty and feature some of the most beautiful landscapes anywhere, with vertical walls, sheer cliffs and narrow, deep valleys. On arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. The charming alpine resort town is surrounded by stunning peaks and hosted the 1956 (and upcoming 2026) Winter Olympics.

Day: 2 Cortina D'Ampezzo - Lake Antorno - Auronzo di Cadore - Cortina D'Ampezzo

Enjoy a full day of adventure amidst amazing beauty. Visit beautiful Lake Antorno, then travel by snowmobile to the alpine ‘Auronzo’ hut. The refuge stands at 2,333 metres and offers spectacular views to the Cadini di Masurina mountain chain. Admire the view before an exciting 5km descent by sled. Afterwards, take the cable car across the slopes for an Alpine style lunch before returning to Cortina.

Enjoy the day at leisure to explore Cortina’s stylish historic centre including the Corso d’Italia, a pedestrian walk-street with an abundance of popular stores.

Day: 4 Cortina D'Ampezzo - Cinque Torri - Alta Badia Valley

Visit the impressive five grey dolomite towers known as the Cinque Torri. Continue by chairlift through the forest for aerial views of the mountain range and WWI trenches below. Explore the trenches on foot with your guide and finish with a descent to the picturesque Alta Badia with time to roam the village to experience the life of the ‘Ladini’ people.

Day: 5 Alta Badia Valley - Kronplatz - Alta Badia Valley

Today journey by cable-car to the summit of the Kronplatz ski area, with a peak standing at 2,275 metres and offering a 360-degree panorama of the entire surroundings, arguably the most beautiful in the Alps. Here, visit the Messner Mountain Museum ‘Corones’ dedicated to traditional mountaineering housed in a Zaha Hadid designed structure on the edge of the most spectacular panoramic plateau in the South Tyrol. Afterward, enjoy a gourmet lunch at AlpINN commissioned and managed by the Michelin star chef Norbert Niederkofler, that uses only local ingredients. The restaurant boasts large glass windows offering breath-taking views as well as an open kitchen. Return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day to relax.

Day: 6 Alta Badia Valley - Pisciadu Waterfall - Gardena Pass - Alta Badia Valley

Today enjoy a gentle hike past a biotope lake on a snowy track surrounded by woodland areas until you reach the Pisciadù waterfalls. The waterfalls unfold at the foot of the impressive Sella Massif, with its’ pinnacles, dramatic rock faces and the famous Val Di Mezdi. Continue across the ski slope and take the cable-car to Gardena Pass before descending to the hotel.
