Italy, Lake Orta – Villa Crespi

Hotel Review

Inspired by Baghdad’s architecture, built in a private villa on the shores of native Lake Orta. This is one of the reasons I loved staying at Villa Crespi. The interiors resemble an emir’s palace, with intricate handmade stucco motifs and marble columns (think Arabian nights!).

The front desk staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly every day. They were exemplary in helping us arrange any travel to and from the hotel for us when we ventured elsewhere for dinners and sightseeing. Looking down on the passing parades of shoppers as you have your breakfast, this exquisite hotel brought out the best that the attractive and trendy Milan had to offer. The boutique hotel, situated in the Galleria shopping precinct– the historical and cultural heart of Milan – had everything modern and immaculately designed… so very Milan. It really made our stay so special.

In the rooms, everything was brand new, clean, fresh, and fashionable. I loved the slippers too. The beds were amazingly comfortable with great pillows and the bathroom was just luxurious!
