Italy, Rome – Hotel Splendide Royal

This 19th century palace was once headquarters of the Roman Maronite community – now after its refurbishment, it is classically styled in Rococo or late baroque with generous sized rooms elegantly furnished with plush fabrics, French furniture and marble bathrooms.
Recently baptized Splendide by guests themselves, the hotel is "toutcourt", full of that warmth and familiarity found usually only among friends. Guests appreciate the richness in style and the wide spaces – in distinct contrast with the typical present-day minimalism governing most new hotels' interior decor and design.
Located in a quiet street overlooking Borghese Gardens, it is only a stroll away from Via Veneto and a short walk to the Spanish Steps. The property is located on Via di Porta Pinciana adjacent to Borghese Gardens, 750m (10min) from Spanish Steps, 900m (10min) from Trevi Fountain and 700m (8min) from Spagna Metro station.

Review of the Hotel Splendide Royal

For me, staying in Rome is a balance of finding somewhere relaxing enough for me to unwind and get over my jet lag, as well as finding a traditional fit that really gets me excited to explore the history and beauty of this city. Hotel Splendide Royal ticks all these boxes!

A 5 star hotel that was once a 19th Century palace, the property is classically styles in Rococo or late baroque. This is classic Rome inspired by the red, blue and yellow colourings of the Vatican Guard, with generous sized rooms elegantly furnished with plush fabrics, French furniture and marble bathrooms.
