COVID-19 Response

Coronavirus (COVID-19): latest updates and information

Last Updated 8 May 2020

In light of the unprecedented circumstances created by COVID-19, Ormina Tours is applying flexibility and concessions to our normal terms and conditions to assist guests and agents with handling of certain affected 2020 bookings.
As Ormina Tours tailor unique itineraries for its guests, every booking is different and special in its own way. Therefore the following concessions are general in nature and act as guidance, so please speak with our Reservations Team ([email protected]) regarding your booking to confirm application.

Small Group Journey set departure booking departing up to 31 July 2020 – Future Travel Credit

As of 21 April 2020, Ormina Tours has made the decision to suspend all Small Group Journey tours departing on or before 31 July 2020. Suspension means that the tour is unlikely to proceed and we encourage guests to defer their arrangements. For these affected bookings, Ormina is offering a Future Travel Credit for use for travel on or before 31 December 2021. The Future Travel Credit will be non-transferable and non-refundable and be of equivalent value to the monies received by us for your small group journey booking.

Moreover if you have paid the full balance of your 2020 Small Group Journey before the balance deadline and would like to defer your travel to 2021, Ormina is waiving our $300 per person rebooking fee and waiving any 2021 tour price increase on that tour that may apply, provided the 2021 tour is substantially the same as 2020 (i.e. unchanged itinerary and similar inclusions which is all our Small group journeys except Piedmont, Croatia & Tuscan Villages) and the tour is booked in a comparative season (i.e. high versus low season).

Any client cancelled small group journey where the guest does not opt for deferring the booking to a 2021 departure via a Future Travel Credit will be subject to normal cancellation terms.

Private Journey and Service Arrangements (i.e. not a Small Group Journey set departure booking) – Future Travel Credit

Guests that decide to cancel their arrangements and opt to defer their Ormina Tours private arrangements, may receive a Future Travel Credit to be used for travel on or before 31 December 2021. The Future Travel Credit will have a value to the total monies received for your booking, less any non-refundable component as advised at time of booking, less a $300 rebooking fee (reduced from $300 per person per our Terms and Conditions). Once new 2021 travel dates are provided, the new arrangements will be re-priced and the value of your non-refundable credit maybe applied.

For all Ormina Tours Travel departing from 01 August 2020 – Extension to deadline to pay final balance

We are offering an extension to pay the final balance due date to 45 days prior to travel for all 2020 bookings from 1 August 2020. Other Ormina Tours booking conditions will apply including cancellation periods and terms.

Deferments to 2021

Any cancelled 2020 trips will be dealt with using our 2020 terms and conditions, modified by us with your agreement in relation to the Travel Credit to be applied (non-refundable non-transferable and to be used by a prescribed date). The new booking for 2021 will however be booked using 2021 terms and conditions and a new booking form will be required.
